Shrinkage performance
Shrinkage: usually radial shrinkage (common 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, up to 6:1), axial shrinkage is generally small (<10%).
For example, 2:1 indicates that the diameter shrinks to 50% of the original diameter after heating.
Electrical performance
nsulation strength: ≥15 kV/mm (high pressure heat shrink pipe can reach more than 20 kV/mm).Volume resistivity: ≥10¹² Ω·cm (quality materials can reach 10¹⁴ Ω·cm).Withstand voltage: from 600V to 35kV depending on the grade.
Mechanical properties

Application: The outer layer of the dual wall heat shrinkable tube with glue has the function of insulation and flame retardant, and the inner layer of hot melt adhesive can buffer mechanical strain and seal performance. It is mainly used in various wiring harnesses, marine wires and cables, and metal pipes that need to be sealed, insulated, bundled and fixed where waterproof, moisture-proof and corrosion-resistant are required. Halogen-free environmentally friendly continuous identification sleeve, widely used in electronics, communications, automobiles, rail transit, construction, public facilities and other fields.
Common ratios for heat shrink tubing include

2:1 Shrink Ratio
The tube will become half of the original size when any heat is applied. You can also look at this ratio as the original size of the tube is twice as large as the shrunken form.

3:1 Shrink Ratio
With a three to one ratio, the tube will become a third of the original size when heat is applied. This means that the original size is three times larger than the shrunken form.

4:1 Shrink Ratio
With this size, the tube will be a quarter of the original size when the proper amount of heat is applied. It also means the original size is four times bigger than when it is shrunk.
Heat Shrink Tubing Materials
Heat shrink tubing can be manufactured from a wide range of thermoplastic materials and is often combined with additives to enhance specific characteristics. Common materials used for heat shrink tubing include:
Polyolefin
Polyolefin is the most popular material for shrink tubing due to its thermal resistance. It is more expensive than PVC but capable of withstanding temperatures as high as 125-135°C. This property makes it ideal for manufacturing, industrial, and mechanical applications with high operating temperatures.
Adhesive-Lined Polyolefin
To provide a more secure tube that will not slip in critical conditions, manufacturers have created a polyolefin heat shrink tubing with an adhesive inner layer that melts and adheres to the wires and components inside the tube to fill voids and ensure a close fit. An added adhesive offers more support and increased protection from moisture and harsh conditions.
PVC
PVC is less expensive than polyolefin but has a lower temperature threshold of approximately 105°C. PVC is durable, strong, and highly abrasion-resistant. It can be manufactured with high clarity, bright colors, and flame-retardant qualities, making it a highly versatile and cost-effective option for low-temperature applications.
